Queenston Residences is perfectly situated to enjoy all of the events and festivals available throughout the year in St. Catharines and Niagara.

One of the biggest events in St. Catharines is the Niagara Wine Festival. For 2 weeks there are many events including wine tours, Annual Mayor’s Invitational Grape Stomp, The Harvest Table, free outdoor entertainment at Montebello Park, and many more around the Region, ending with the Grande Parade which takes place downtown.

St. Catharines is host in January to the Niagara Icewine Festival. This is a uniquely Canadian winter experience for all celebrating Canada’s most cherished product Icewine. This festival runs three weekends in January.

The Region is world renowned for its’ wine, and the many, many, wineries that are home to the Niagara Region. Check out Wine Country Ontario to visit these lovely wineries and taste these great products.

Of course, one of the Region’s most famous attractions is Niagara Falls. Many events surround the falls though-out the year including the New Years Eve celebration, Winter Festival of Lights, Niagara’s Fury, Behind the Falls, Aero Car, all the attractions on Clifton Hill, Casino Niagara, and Fallview Casino and Resort.

Downtown St. Catharines is the new home to the Meridian Centre, home of the St. Catharines Ice Dogs, River Lions Basketball, as well as host to many musical entertainers such as the Tragically Hip and Blue Rodeo.

St. Catharines is also home to the new Brock University’s, Marilyn I. Walker School of Fine and Performing Arts and the First Ontario Performing Art Centre, hosting events such as art exhibits, musical concerts, theatre, and performers all within walking distance from Queenston Residences.

Downtown has many great restaurants encompassing food from many tastes and cultures. The Farmer’s market embraces the rich local produce available year-round..

From spring when the fresh strawberries are anticipated, through summer, serving up sweet delicious peaches, to the delectable fall apples and pears, the Niagara Region has many roadside fruit not to mention the luscious produce vendors, all to fufill that healthy lifestyle appetite.
